I listened to Coulee Kids podcast. This podcast didn't appeal to me. It had topics that i didn't care about, and when talking to others found out that they didn't care about it either. It also was kind of boring because it was so rehearsed.

The podcast I listened to "Chromosonal Disorders". I didn't like how it was very cheesy and staged. It was pretty obvious to me that they were reading directly from a script. In my podcast, if I am reading from a script, I will add emotion and make it seem real.
The second problem I had with this podcast was that it didn't capture my attention. I didn't want to listen to a boring lecture on disorders. In my podcast, I will have a topic that everyone wants to listen to and that they will find interesting. I didn't like anything about "Chromosonal Disorders."

For my podcast I listened to "Truths of Team Awsome". I found it incredibly boring. The subjects that they talked about didn't catch my attention. For example, they talked about a math tournament. They used un-needed adjectives in the wrong places. It sounded as if the middle schoolers were reading an essay. When a podcast is made, the tone should be more conversational. It should also be on an interesting topic so the listener wants to pay attention. "Truths of Team Awsome" didn't make me want to listen until the end. I wanted to end it as soon as possible. School isn't the only topic too. That's what the Coulee Kids seemed to think. They only talk about things done in school. In all, I think that the podcast was horrible and cheesey.

Excellent - you give a lot of details. Do you think that ALL podcasts should be conversational? I can think of some kinds that might not. Was there nothing at all positive?

Oops - I guess I can't leave a response to each person's comment (the comment above refers to "julia_bean").

Some of you make very good points which will help you when you start on your own. Try to think of positive things too (there are a lot of people who really like these podcasts).

Liam/Nick - you need to add more flesh to your answers. Be more specific, give examples.
